The week of December 9th is the official Computer Science Education Week. Computer Scientists at Code.org planned a special event called The Hour of Code to expose students to programming for a single hour to get them interested in programming. Coding is such a basic skill, yet it's used in almost everything we do - many of the things we take for granted. It is important that the students realize that they are growing up in the age of technology and that the simple things they use - cell phones, ATM's, banks, computers, and much more - are made by people who know how to code. \Who knows - an ACP Erie students could become the next Bill Gates!
Come join Knights Caring Cards on Wednesday, December 11th, from 2:40 - 3:30, in Mrs. McKelvey's room, for a Christmas card making session! The cards that you make will be delivered to local hospitals for the patients there to enjoy! Hope to see you all there!!
