The following protocol comes from the District office and we wanted to be sure you aware of the following information as we begin a new school year.
Should My Child Go to School?
Every year, a number of students become ill for many reasons, including exposure to other ill children in the classroom.
To help you make decisions about whether or not to send your child to school, we have put together a list of indicators we hope you will find helpful:
Vision and Hearing Notice
Each year students in preschool, kindergarten, those with IEPs, and those new to the Chandler Unified School District will have their hearing and vision screened. This will happen at Santan JHS on November 1. If you do not want your child to receive a hearing and vision screening, you may opt out. Just download and complete the opt out form, which must be signed and returned to the health office at your child's school.
All medications must be brought in by the parents directly to a school official. Acetaminophen (non-aspirin) is stocked by the health office. All medications must be in the original containers with all warnings and directions intact. No medication in envelopes, foil or baggies will be administered. Medications will not be sent home with a student. For more information, please consult the CUSD Medication Policy.
