BJHS IEP Services/Special Education
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. We are looking forward to working with your child to meet their individual learning goals this year. The BJHS campus offers several levels of special education support including resource, co-taught, mainstreaming, strategies class, Just Words Reading System and self-contained classes for students with Multiple and Severe Disabilities, Moderate Intellectual Disabilities, and Emotional Disabilities or behavioral difficulties. The IEP team at BJHS is dedicated to meeting the needs of the students with special needs. Each student with an identified disability and eligibility for special education services is provided with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that targets specific needs and provides appropriate goals, services, accommodations, and supports so that each student in our program has the opportunity to be successful in school. Bogle's IEP services department currently is serving over 130 students with special needs.
The BJHS IEP Services team currently includes 29 members including 7 full time special education teachers, a clerk and several paraprofessionals. Itinerant staff include the school psychologist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, vision specialist, hearing specialist, adaptive PE, and music therapist.
